How are you preparing for NUOVA's program?
- I am preparing for NUOVA's program by performing an in-depth character analysis before stepping into rehearsal. I will be attending coachings weekly, where I will focus on putting my own little spin onto this character, adding interesting vocal colours and a fiery attitude!
Born in Saskatoon, Danielle Sanche (Soprano) holds a Bachelors of Music from the University of Saskatchewan, where she studied under the tutelage of Dr. Garry Gable and Kathleen Lohrenz Gable. Throughout her degree, Danielle has been part of the University Chorus, Greystone Singers, Jazz Ensemble, and Music Theatre Ensemble. All ensembles have provided performance opportunities, including performances with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Danielle has been awarded the Dorothy Howard Voice Scholarship in both 2015 and 2016 and won the Kinsmen Competition in the spring of 2017. Danielle participated in Opera NUOVA’s five-week program playing the role of Saphir in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience, 3rd Girl in Roger’s and Hammerstein’s Carousel, and chorus in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. Danielle is ecstatic to be playing the role of Little Red Riding Hood in Sondheim’s Into The Woods this summer.
