How are you preparing for NUOVA’s program?

My name is Evan Lindberg and I am a bass-baritone from Calgary, AB. I am currently preparing for NUOVA's 2019 festival by diving into the score of Much Ado! by James Garner (with libretto by Patrick Hansen) and becoming as familiar as I can with the fabulous play from which this opera this adapted: Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

What attracts you to NUOVA’s programs? Why this year?

I have been aware of NUOVA's innovative programming and excellent training for years and I am thrilled to be joining such a like-minded community of artists and musicians this spring. As a Calgary native who has spent the last 3 years studying in America, I am looking forward to returning to Alberta and meeting fellow young singers and artists from across Canada.
