How are you preparing for NUOVA’s program?

  • I am having a lot of fun preparing for my roles at NUOVA by taking time to get familiar with the text and working closely with my voice teacher. I am fortunate in my program to have plenty of masterclasses to sing in, so I have quite a few opportunities for feedback.

What attracts you to NUOVA’s programs? Why this year?

  • I was first drawn to NUOVA's program from the reputation it has earned over the years in the early careers of many working Canadian opera singers. The bulk of my studies of singing have been during my last few years in Victoria, so I look forward to meeting and working with new colleagues. I chose to audition this year as I felt confident I was finally at a place with my vocal technique and stage experience where I could get the most out of the program.
