How are you preparing for NUOVA’s program?

  • The great American choreographer Twyla Tharp advocated using a box for each project, as she does. She fills each box first with two quotes about her goal for the project and then with images, sounds, colors or anything that can be used towards the preparation to create. So I'm pulling a Twyla Tharp.

What attracts you to NUOVA’s programs? Why this year?

  • NUOVA provides an unimaginable repository of support and kinship from not just the teachers but the fellow students as well. I feel free to make big artistic leaps because I know they'll be there to catch me if I fall.
