Role(s) in this year's festival:
How are you preparing for NUOVA’s program?
Opera NUOVA sounds like a wonderful program that gives singers the opportunity to learn and develop their voices through courses, lessons, and performances. I am thrilled to attend Opera NUOVA this year and get the opportunity to take time out of my everyday life to focus on studying singing. My goal is to learn as much as possible and soak up all the wonderful instruction from the amazing instructors Opera NUOVA provides.
Nikita Silagy is from Winnipeg, Manitoba in the heart of the Canadian Prairies. Nikita has just finished her undergrad in vocal performance at the University of Manitoba, studying under Monica Huisman. Past performances include Cendrillon (Cendrillon) in a concert version with New York Lyric opera, Papagena (The Magic Flute) with Winnipeg’s Underground Opera, Cherubino (Marriage of Figaro), with U of M opera scenes. Other highlights include master classes with Arthur Levy and Roger Vignoles. Nikita is thrilled to attending Opera NUOVA this spring!
