How are you preparing for NUOVA’s program?
- To prepare for NUOVA's program, I am doing my best to get my voice in the best possible shape and placement before leaving my undergrad at Queen’s University. I spend probably 80% of my waking life thinking about vocal technique, and hope that this will contribute to a vocal quality that will represent the amount of work that I am spending on it. After my final recital, I plan to disappear into the scores of NUOVA's operas and arrive ready for anything!
What attracts you to NUOVA’s programs? Why this year?
- I am attracted to NUOVA's programs because of how hard they work to develop you as a well-rounded artist, and push you to prepare for the professional world. This year I am leaving my little bubble of school, and this is exactly the sort of experience that I believe will serve as a stepping stone into finding work in the city. The intense schedule of working and training also appeals greatly to me, as I am all for the go, go, go!
