Biography
Josh Meredith is a freelance Artist and Educator with a specialism in Voice Pedagogy. Originally from Hull, North England, Josh resides in Edmonton where he works as an Actor and as a Guest Lecturer in the Drama Department at the University of Alberta. Josh trained as an actor at The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and the Liverpool. Institute for Performing Arts. He gained his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Voice Pedagogy from the University of Alberta and was the recipient of the Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship. Career highlights include playing with The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, in the castles of Glamis, Cawdor, Windsor, and at Shakespeare’s Globe, performing alongside the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and working on pieces of new writing with acclaimed gig-theatre company, Middle Child. Josh has coached numerous theatrical productions, taught at Universities and High Schools and also coaches privately. Josh Meredith is an Artist, Musician, and Educator from Hull, North England. His work has led him all over the UK, to Mainland Europe and most recently to Canada.

Credits as a Voice and/or Accent Coach include: The Night Season, Silence, Iphigenia 2.0, Belleville, People In Cages, The Glass Menagerie, Di and Viv and Rose, In Lipstick. Josh has taught at The British School (Netherlands), Luisenschule (Germany), Northampton University, East Riding Theatre, and various High Schools in the UK. He also coaches privately. For the last two years, Josh has been engaged in the University of Alberta’s MFA Voice Pedagogy program under the tutelage of David Ley. He will graduate this year. Josh has had a cracking time working on this production of Dracula and cites Count Duckula as his favourite Vampire.
