Biography
A professional actor, director, writer, and theatre educator, Kelly Handerek teaches Acting, and Voice and Text for the Actor as well as directing departmental productions at the University of Regina. He has served as Guest Artist at the University of Alberta, Dalhousie University, The Banff Centre of the Arts, and Acadia University. From 1995-97, he served as National Vice-President for the Association of Canadian Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA). In 1998, Kelly accepted an invitation to study with the legendary Uta Hagen in New York City. He returned to the University of Regina in 2001 after spending two years as the Artistic Director of The Grand Theatre in London, Ontario. His 35 year national and international career has forged a collaboration with Rose Bruford College in London, England.
