Biography

Ryan Sigurdson is a Toronto-based music director, pianist, violinist, voice coach and composer. He holds a Master of Music (Orchestral Conducting) from the University of Cincinnati (CCM) where he recently received a League of Cincinnati Theatres Nomination for outstanding Music Direction for Singin’ in the Rain. He has musical directed over 40 productions, in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada as well as in Cincinnati and New York. Most recently, he was on tour playing keyboard for the first national tour of Anastasia, and before that conducting the second national tour of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella. An experienced voice coach, Ryan has completed a diploma in Musical Theatre from MacEwan University, as well as Canada's National Voice Intensive, Opera NUOVA's Summer Intensive and the Goodspeed Music Directing Intensive. Ryan is also an award-winning composer of musical theatre, and a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop.
