Role(s) in this year's festival:
Poppea: "The Coronation of Poppea"
I'm preparing for NUOVA's program with lots of research, both on the historical context of The Coronation of Poppea, as well as by watching and listening to recordings of other amazing productions. I've also been spending a lot of time working from my score and learning all I can about Poppea and her character.
I'm so excited to be taking part in NUOVA's programs this year. I've always heard amazing things about the NUOVA experience, and finally felt that my skills and artistry were at a point where I could benefit greatly from the program and all it has to offer. I am absolutely thrilled to be working with NUOVA's faculty and staff, and to be singing my first major role in an opera!
