Participating in the 10-Day Intensive Program
I am very excited about attending NUOVA’s Singer Development Program. I have been preparing for this summer by carefully choosing and studying my repertoire. I researched various summer intensive programs both nationally and internationally and Opera Nuova stood out as an amazing program. This program was also recommended by my vocal instructor as an excellent opportunity. This year seemed like a wonderful and exciting time to attend now that in-person programs are once again available to young, developing artists.
Artist Bio
Hannah Orr is a young soprano from Magrath, a small town in Southern Alberta. Hannah is currently studying under Monica Huisman at the University of Manitoba, and is in her first year of a Bachelor of Music degree. From a young age, Hannah has loved to sing and perform in various festivals, musicals, school choirs, and concerts. Hannah has competed in music festivals in Lethbridge and Winnipeg and has won Provincial Music Festival twice in Edmonton, and most recently won the Tudor Bowl in the Winnipeg Music Festival. In her free time, Hannah enjoys writing music, calligraphy, hiking, and being with friends and family.
