I am preparing for NUOVA's program by building up my opera repertoire in my private vocal instruction.
I was very impressed with the prestigious programs offered by Opera NUOVA. Being part of Opera NUOVA 2022 will help further develop my operatic performance and assist me in attaining a spot on the Edmonton Opera stage.
Practically speaking I would like to have this training completed before I complete my arts degree.
Artist Bio
Maria Pottle is a third year music major at Concordia University of Edmonton. She has always had a passion... Performance opportunities in her rural community were limited, so she welcomed her experiences of performing with Alberta Youth Choir, singing backup for the Canadian Tenors, and being featured in an international recording project for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Despite COVID restrictions, she was grateful to have opportunities to develop her musicianship, such as master classes, choir concerts, and drama productions.
