Participating in the 10-Day Intensive Program
Currently studying at Western University with Jackie Short and we're currently learning rep that is more challenging, that will help me improve in many ways such as: stamina, breath support, and etc. Also, training to perform my 3rd year solo recital which means learning lots of rep to be fully prepared in time for Nuova!
I was attracted to the ten day program because due to covid there was a stagnancy in performing opportunities and I really wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone! Also, my teacher Jackie said I would do great and recommended the program!
I decided to apply this year because I've felt like i've made great strides this year in my vocal technique and thought the ten day intensive program would be just the thing to push me to get better and better!
Artist Bio
My name is Yasmeen Abou-Marie and I'm a third year performance vocal student at Western University. I'm so so excited to be apart of this wonderful opportunity and to experience this with my peers. I've been in several musicals and several classical solo performances throughout the years of studying voice. I'm very excited to be apart of the Nuova summer program!
