The Vocal Arts Festival celebrates Canadian vocal artists while creating an accessible and unique blend of innovative and inspiring vocal performances. This summer marks Opera NUOVA’s 15th anniversary!
We will launch the Vocal Arts Festival with the
VOCAL GEMS NIGHT OF CELEBRATION
on May 24th at Edmonton’s own Muttart Conservatory, an event that everyone will talk about for years to come. Join us and help us raise sustainability funds that support our commitment to grow over the next 15 years.
Our 15th season will be nothing short of outstanding, with three fully staged operas:
Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites (Dialogues of the Carmelites),
Mozart’s Don Giovanni,
Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore (The Elixir of Love),
and one of the most beloved classical musical theatre productions of all time,
Bock & Harnick’s Fiddler on the Roof.
We look forward to mounting first rate operatic productions with elite emerging artists showcasing their exceptional talents.
Of course, the Vocal Arts Festival also has a plethora of wonderful concerts to showcase the visiting artists from across Canada:
Tuesdays: Song Soirées;
Friday & Saturday: Song & Aria Showcase, Opera Scene Extravaganza
& Golden Era of Broadway concerts;
Sundays: An Evening of Puccini (Dinner Cabaret), Best of the Fest
& Music for Contemplation
